How to export your data and stay anonymous
Help and privacy · Updated
OcelotBOT lets you see, export and limit the data it holds about you. Everything is done with the /privacy command. For the full details of what is collected and why, read the privacy policy, or run /privacy policy in Discord.
Download a copy of your data
Run /privacy dataexport. OcelotBOT gathers up what it has stored against your Discord account and sends it to you in a direct message as a zip file of spreadsheets (CSV files).
- /privacy dataexport
- Only you can see the reply to the command.
- You need to allow direct messages from OcelotBOT, or the file can't be delivered.
- You can request an export once a day.
Hide your Discord username
Some commands show your username to other people, for example when you are on a leaderboard, set a record in the song guessing game, or send feedback. To stop that, turn on anonymity:
- /privacy anonymousmodeon
Run /privacy anonymous mode:off to show your username again, or /privacy anonymous with no option to see what is currently set and what is affected. Anonymity only hides your username. It doesn't delete anything that is stored about you.
Keep your server's details private
Server admins can stop elements of their server showing up in other places, like its custom emojis appearing in /emoji searches in other servers. Use /privacy serveranonymous mode:on. You need the Administrator permission, or the server's settings role.
Have your data deleted
If you want everything OcelotBOT holds about you or your server removed completely, get in touch through the support server or with the /feedback command.
