How to play chess and tic tac toe

You don't need to leave Discord to play a board game with a friend. OcelotBOT can run a game of tic tac toe or chess right in the channel.

Tic tac toe

Challenge another member with /tictactoe:

OcelotBOT posts a three by three grid of buttons. You take turns pressing a square to place your ❌ or ⭕, and only the two players can press them. The first to get three in a row wins.

Chess

Chess uses the /chess command and its subcommand option.

1. Challenge someone. Choose start as the subcommand and pick your opponent in the user option: /chess subcommand:start user:@Small P
2. Accept. The person you challenged accepts with /chess subcommand:accept. OcelotBOT posts the board as an image and you're playing.
3. Make your moves. On your turn, use the move option with the move in algebraic notation, for example /chess move:e4 or /chess move:Nf3. OcelotBOT replies with the updated board.
4. Resign. If you've had enough, /chess subcommand:resign on your turn ends the game and gives the win to your opponent.

If you're not sure how to write a move, /chess subcommand:notation is there to remind you.

Only one game of chess can run in a channel at a time, so if you want several games at once, use different channels. OcelotBOT needs the Attach Files permission to post the board.
